Today is a bit of a slow, cloudy day. I spent the better part of the morning submitting all projects at hand and made all pending calls. There’s some more work coming my way thanks to lovely friends back at my last company and I have some time to kill before that.
So I got down to editing the batch of images I had taken last month (after yesterdays study session and todays practice on 10 images, bow down in respect to all the touch-up artists).
Also spent a good part of the day with my mom-in-law who has just undergone her first session of chemo and the meds have hit home. All the feared symptoms of this treatment are revealing themselves one by one and today was a day of extreme exhaustion for her. She felt hollow and couldn’t manage to get up from the bed to even do everyday chores. It’s terrible to see a loved one in this state, and when you can’t help them much, it’s even worse.
One can only hope that the effects of the medicines will wear off soon and she’ll feel better.
Also, for the ones following this blog – I had a chat with that NGO which had offered me a Director role. Told them I can clock in only 4 hours a day, but those 4 will have my 100% commitment. They understood and also told me a project was being worked out to get me on board for 6 months. Fingers crossed.
Overall a slightly depressing day. Only respite is that I catch up with a very close friend who’s in town from Delhi – over drinks. But thanks to Maharashtra for keeping the theme of the day going – today is a dry day and we shall gossip over iced teas.
Cheers to that!
